Benefit from the fee exemption when purchasing real estate from 01.04.2024:

The law provides for a fee exemption for the registration for the acquisition of property or building rights (Tariff item 9 lit. b no. 1, 2 and 3) on a property that serves to satisfy an urgent housing need of the purchaser (see para. 2 no. 3), up to a valuation basis of EUR 500,000.00 (para. 4), as well as for the registration of liens (Tariff item 9 lit. b no. 4, 5 and 6) to secure loans taken out for the acquisition or renovation of such property including buildings.

The urgent housing need must be proven by a corresponding main residence registration. This proof must either be submitted simultaneously with the land register application if the residence has already been occupied, otherwise within 3 months from handover or completion, but no later than within 5 years after the land register entry.
